I’m obsessed with can­ning and pre­serv­ing. Yes­ter­day I expe­ri­enced mak­ing Tomato Jam with Chef Emma Dilemma from Home­grown Ini­tia­tive– a really cool web­site focus­ing on local farms and food initiatives.

Tomato Jam:

5 pounds very ripe toma­toes, roughly diced, stem removed (we got them at the Carls­bad Farmer’s Mar­ket for $.50 per pound!!)
