My name is Robert Ray Stevens and I am a cook and stu­dent of
anthro­pol­ogy liv­ing in Carls­bad, CA. My ques­tion is: What type of impact is
online social net­work­ing hav­ing on the pro­duc­tion and con­sump­tion of food?

As a strong sup­porter of the Slow Food move­ment, I am opti­mistic about
emerg­ing “dig­i­tal” cul­tures of food that seems to facil­i­tate and encour­age us
to build rela­tion­ships with local farms and food pro­duc­ers. And finally, is food
cul­ture? If so, what can we learn from the choices we make about food?
